Produced during World War II by Voigtländer & Sohn in Braunschweig, Germany, this 6x30 Dienstglas military optical set displays upper prism plate stampings reading serial number "202641", manufacturer ordnance code "ddx", and cold-climate lubricant mark "+". An internal reticle scale (ranging grid) is integrated into the optical system. The binoculars measure 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (11.4 cm H x 16.5 cm W) and weigh 406 grams (14.3 oz). Featuring black rubber eyecups, the frame retains smooth central hinge movement and smooth individual diopter focus adjustments. Viewing clarity remains good with the internal reticle grid clearly visible, though internal lens chipping is present on both optical channels. The main body housing and metal frame elements have been repainted.
