This set consists of Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8x30 binoculars produced in Jena, Germany, featuring a metal body, textured vulcanite wrap, and original leather neck strap. The left prism plate is marked with the boxed "CARL ZEISS JENA" logo, while the right plate displays "DELTRINTEM / 8x30". The lower central hinge cap is stamped with serial number "2246704" and the upper hinge cap reads "Germany." These binoculars measure approximately 4.75 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (12.1 cm H x 16.5 cmW) and weigh 445 grams (15.7 oz). The black leather carry case measures 5.25 inches high by 7 inches wide (13.3 cm H x 17.8 cm W)., and has a stamped "CARL ZEISS JENA" trade emblem inside the lid. While the binoculars' mechanical controls for focusing and diopter adjustment are stiff and frozen, the optics remain clear, providing a good image. Factory finishes are original and unrestored. The leather case and strap are complete and functional.
