This World War II-era 6x30 Dienstglas military field glass was produced by Voigtländer & Sohn in Braunschweig, Germany. The binoculars feature upper prism plate stampings for "Dienstglas 6x30," the Voigtländer maker emblem, "Gebrauchsmuster18," and serial number "Nº 82835." An original fixed leather neck strap is present, attached to body loops. The binoculars measure 4.25 inches high by 6 inches wide (10.8 cm H x 15.2 cm W) and weigh 535 grams (1 lb 2.9 oz). Textured black body coverings and metal end plates are present, with factory-finished surfaces showing localized finish loss. The clear optical glass exhibits slight internal hazing, and the left eyecup has a large side chip. Smooth hinge pivot and diopter adjustments remain functional. Included is the original brown leather carrying case, measuring 5 inches high by 7 inches wide (12.7 cm H x 17.8 cm W), with a functional front latch, intact shoulder strap, and belt loop; the case displays mild surface wear.
