Two sets of German military-issue 6x30 Dienstglas field glasses dating to World War II. The first pair, unmarked measures 4.5 inches high by 5.5 inches wide (11.4 cm H x 14.0 cm W) and weighs 469 grams (1 lb 0.5 oz), and displays repainted black covers over an original metal frame. It exhibits stiff diopter rings, clear right-eye optics, and a large chip on the left lens that impairs visibility. The frame and end caps have been repainted over existing finish chips. The second pair, produced by Voigtländer & Sohn and marked with "Dienstglas 6x30," serial number 217802, ordnance code "ddx," and a cold-climate triangle lubricant mark, measures 4.25 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (10.8 cm H x 16.5 cm W) and weighs 345 grams (12.2 oz). This set shows a smooth right diopter, but is missing its left eyecup, features clear right-side viewing, and a major crack in the left lens. Both binoculars are built with metal frames and textured coverings, retain smooth center hinge movement, and show extensive finish wear, bare metal exposure, and paint loss throughout.
