Four-volume set titled Zeitgeschichte in Wort und Bild by Dr. Georg Högel, each volume housed in a wooden slipcase. The books were published between 1937 and 1942 by Kultur und Aufbau Verlags-G.m.b.H. and Gerhard Stalling Verlag, Oldenburg i.O., Germany. These illustrated history books document German history from 1918 to 1939, with extensive period photographs, maps, and contemporary propaganda art. The content covers major political, military, and social events of interwar and early WWII-era Germany. Volumes include title pages, numerous monochrome illustrations, and some color artwork. The set presents uniform binding with gilt spine titles. Condition appears to be consistent with age, showing some wear and browning to pages, yet the bindings are intact and generally well preserved.
