This cream fabric-bound photo album documents a family’s history from the 1930s through the 1950s, capturing transitions from the Third Reich era into post-war Germany. The album consists of numerous black-and-white photographs depicting daily life, including scenes marked as RAD labor service, family recreation in German parks, and international travel. Notable entries include records of a 1953 trip to the Vatican and documentary photographs of a 1955 Ford Taunus de luxe automobile, including images of an accident. The album includes handwritten captions in both German and Italian, and a red cord binding. An original Walter Gross Berlin sticker is affixed to the inside cover. Some minor staining is evident on the cream fabric covers and several photographs are loose. The album serves as a chronological record, illustrating family continuity through significant mid-20th-century events.
