This is a World War II-era Dienstglas 6x30 military binocular set produced by Optische Werke G. Rodenstock in Munich, Germany. The upper prism plate features the framed "G. RODENSTOCK MÜNCHEN" logo, "Dienstglas 6x30" legend, serial number 157176, reticle unit code "H/6400," and the letter "M." Measuring approximately 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (11.4 cm x 16.5 cm) and weighing 679 grams, this optical instrument includes an internal reticle scale (ranging grid) integrated into the viewing channel. The binoculars are constructed of metal with textured black coverings. The central hinge movement is smooth, the right diopter focuses well, while the left diopter has rougher action. The body wrap is in good condition, with evidence of upper prism cap and lens cap paint touch-ups. Both eyecups have edge chipping, but optical clarity and the internal reticle grid are undiminished.
