Brass-framed binoculars by Carl Zeiss Jena, manufactured pre-1940, feature 6x magnification and measures 9.5 cm H x 14.0 cm W (3.75" H x 5.5" W), and weighs 465 g (1 lb 0.4 oz). Finished in black with textured covering, the binoculars show observable wear along the brass edges, consistent with field use. The left ocular retains clear optics while the right ocular displays light internal haze, and mechanical elements, including the hinge and focusing wheels, are functionally excellent. The original brown leather case, measuring 113.3 cm H x 16.5 cm W (5.25" H x 6.5" W), remains structurally intact with all hardware and stitching sound. Noteworthy is a hand-inscribed soldier’s name on the case base, directly linking the set to its Allied "bring-back" history. This set demonstrates early-war German military optical construction and documented provenance. PM/OT
