This technologically significant set features Steinheil München 6x30 binoculars, serial number B 16642, housed in a premium Carl Zeiss Jena brown leather case. The binoculars are distinguished by their "VL" (Vakuum-Lid) marking, denoting factory vacuum-coated anti-reflective lenses developed during the late-war era. The objective glass maintains its original blue and purple iridescent sheen, a hallmark of this optical advancement. Featuring lightweight construction and high-contrast Steinheil glass, the body is fully intact with a black textured covering. The set measures 10.8 cm H x 16.5 cm W (4.25" H x 6.5" W), and weighs 451 g (15.9 oz / 0.99 lbs). The 6x30 configuration offers clarity and balanced field of view. Mechanically, the center focus wheel is stiff from aged lubricant, while hinge tension operates smoothly. The optics remain clear with only minor internal dust specks. The Zeiss-marked case is structurally excellent with tight stitching and period-correct finish. It measures 12.7 cm H x 17.8 cm W (5.0" H x 7.0" W). PM/OT
