Hand-painted wood-covered album created in 1942 during the German occupation of Aizpute, Latvia, under the Third Reich. The front cover features the town name in stylized script alongside a depiction of a woman in traditional Latvian dress. The album documents the activities of a Wehrmacht medical unit and German Red Cross (DRK) nurses through original black-and-white photographs, capturing interactions with local Latvian administrative officials during the occupation. Included is an original Latvian Christmas greeting card dated December 1942 from the Latvian civil administration, expressing seasonal wishes to German personnel. Covers and pages show period construction, binding by cord, and moderate handling wear consistent with use.
