Published by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld in 1936, this original hardcover cigarette card album is titled Bilder Deutscher Geschichte (Images of German History) (551st to 650th thousand print run). Bound in yellow cloth with dark leather-style spine backing, the front cover displays a large embossed gold eagle and pedestal emblem, while the back cover features a gilt embossed sword, book, and oak branch device. The interior contains German text alongside complete tipped-in color historical artwork plates depicting scenes from the German Middle Ages, Brandenburg-Prussia, the Napoleonic Wars, and notable historic figures including Queen Luise. The folio measures 12 x 9.25 inches and is complete, containing all photos. Condition is consistent with age and light handling. Covers show edge rubbing, corner wear, surface smudging, and minor tape remnants along the spine ends. There is an owner's stamp on the title page and about half way through the book. Pages remain firmly bound and complete with all color plates present and light marginal paper toning.
