Published in 1936, this original German hardcover art and cultural volume is titled Die Neue Saat (The New Seed). Bound in grey woven cloth with red printed cover lettering and a thin rules border, the volume features essays, literary contributions, and art historical commentary, including Das Geheimnis der Einigung by Johannes Maaßen. The interior is printed in Fraktur and Roman typefaces, accompanied by numerous full-page monochrome photogravures and inline text illustrations depicting religious art, Lenten cloths (Hungertuch), classical sculptures, and Old Master paintings by artists such as Albrecht Altdorfer. The volume measures 11.75 x 7.5 inches. The cloth-bound covers display light surface rubbing, minor corner wear, and subtle edge discoloration. Interior pages remain clean, firmly bound, and complete, showing mild, expected paper toning along the outer margins.
