ca. 1830-1860; Attributed to Philadelphia Filley Tinshop, lighthouse shaped domed lid coffee pot retains original japanned ground with hand painted design of five ball flowers and fronds. The hinged lid and flange foot have golden yellow double-droplet design painted bands. The pot has a gooseneck spout, domed hinged lid with brass knob and mounted braced handle. The large hand painted design of a floral sprig with five ball-type flowers is repeated on both faces of the pot; 6 1/2" dia. X 9 1/2" x 11 1/4'h; Condition: "As found", overall good. Approx. 95% original surface intact. The pot has darkening of green paints. There is evidence of two lower ball flowers in green paints on lowest portion of the sprig with minor scratches and minor wear noted near collar, on handle and on lid. Flange has two bare-spots.
