ca. early-mid 19th century; PA bluish-green painted slide lid box in yellow pine and poplar woods dovetail construction with round head nailed bottom, yellow pine raised-panel slide-lid in quarter-round molded trimmed edge and lid with a chiseled rectangular sloped pull-slot. The box retains its original paint commonly used throughout much of central Pennsylvania; 15 1/4" x 10" x 5 5/8"; Condition: extensive soiling and drying to painted surface. Some paint loss to the lid. Nice primitive look.
