ca. mid-19th century; Attributed to the central PA Amish community, unusually long doll cradle is box-nail constructed hemlock and white pine with a sloped three-part hood and nail mounted shallow runners. The cradle was possibly crafted for a cloth "bed doll" or "church-doll" and painted similar to the blue used by the Amish communities in Mifflin and Centre Co., PA; 38 1/4" L x 11 1/4" x 14 1/2"; Condition: primitively crafted following form of earlier cradles
