ca. label dated Feb. 13th, 1889; Paper label marked "Made by Joseph Lehn in his 93rd year, Feb.13th, 1889" covered footed saffron cup, turned and painted in Joseph Lehn's (1798-1892) traditional form. The turning has a three-tier flute turned foot to narrow stem, molded accent to egg shaped cup and ball knob on tight-seated lid. The saffron cup has traditional three color foot and stem to salmon ground cup with hand painted pussy willow bloom and applied floral decals. The lid has a salmon color ground with similar decoration, the knob painted dark blue and collar is red ground with pussy willow band and green painted band. This saffron cup includes a 1967 booklet "Joseph Lehn - Woodturner" by Gary P. Bell; 2 1/4" dia. X 4 3/4"H.; Condition: Very good with light crackling to light varnish coat.
