ca. early 20th century frames; In matched molded early 20th century frames, each impress-marked "Museum", used by the "Peale's Museum" in Philadelphia, PA. Each is a physiognotrace cut-out silhouette on rag bond paper with black paper backer of unknown subject husband and wife. The museum was operated in Philadelphia by artist Charles W. Peale. These early copy images were created as for sale to visitors of the museum; each frame is 5 3/4" x 6 3/8"; Condition: Tear to the male subject from chest to lower edge. * Note - there are later copies of the "Museum" marked images. No guarantee if these are authentic or later era copied images. Several of these images are part of the "Atwater_Kent Collection" at Drexel University.
