Finishing out the Franklin Half Dollar era, this 1963-D issue was struck at the Denver Mint during the final year of the series. Composed of 90% silver, the coin contains approximately .3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The obverse features Benjamin Franklin, while the reverse showcases the iconic Liberty Bell with a small eagle beside it. The Franklin Half Dollar was minted from 1948 through 1963, making this 1963-D an official final-year example with a Denver Mint origin. A great addition for collectors of Franklin Half Dollars, vintage U.S. coinage, or 90% silver.
