Opening with an early Denver Mint issue, this 1949-D Franklin Half Dollar comes from the second year of the Franklin Half Dollar series. Struck in 90% silver, it contains approximately .3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The coin features Benjamin Franklin's portrait on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse, accompanied by a small eagle near the bell. The Franklin Half Dollar series ran from 1948 through 1963 and honored one of America's most influential Founding Fathers. With its early date, Denver mintmark, and classic mid-century design, this coin is a desirable addition for collectors building a Franklin Half Dollar set or adding vintage U.S. silver to their collection.
