(Peruvian) Master Glazed Ceramic Sculpture. This extraordinary <b>Torito de Pucara</b> is an original hand-crafted ceramic sculpture created by Peruvian artisan <b>Berta Lopez</b>. Reinterpreting one of Peru's most iconic folk art traditions, the artist transforms the classic Torito into an elegant decorative sculpture distinguished by its richly sculpted floral ornamentation, expressive modeling, and sophisticated multi-layered glazing. Unlike traditional examples, this work features an exceptional relief surface entirely covered with individually modeled flowers, foliage, and ornamental motifs that create remarkable visual texture. Multiple kiln-fired glazes in soft jade green, olive green, cream, and deep charcoal produce subtle tonal variations and depth, giving the sculpture an organic appearance that changes beautifully under different lighting conditions. The result is both contemporary and deeply rooted in the celebrated ceramic traditions of Pucara.
