Kestner 167 Child Doll & Lace Dress

Kestner mold 167 bisque socket head child doll featuring a fully jointed composition and wood body. The head is detailed with brown glass sleep eyes, feathered eyebrows, painted lashes, and an open mouth revealing four upper teeth, fitted with a blonde curly wig. The ensemble includes a period-appropriate white cotton and lace dress with ruffled sleeves and a tiered skirt, a matching petticoat, bloomers, black stockings, and black leatherette buckle shoes. Incised marks to the back of the head include the mold number 167 and Germany, while the torso features a red Germany stamp. 22 inches. This doll shows expected wear consistent with its age. The bisque head is in good order. The composition and wood body exhibits typical surface wear and minor paint loss at the joints and extremities. The clothing remains well-preserved with light surface aging to the textiles.
