Armand Marseille 341 Dream Baby & Christening Gown

This antique Armand Marseille mold number 341 Dream Baby doll features a bisque socket head with a dome top and weighted blue glass sleep eyes. The face is finished with a closed mouth, coral-colored painted lips, and lightly blushed cheeks, accented by painted upper and lower eyelashes and eyebrows. The doll has a stuffed cloth torso and upper arms, molded composition hands, and white cloth legs. It is presented in an antique-style cream-colored lawn christening gown with vertical lace insets and lace trim at the neck, cuffs, and hem. The ensemble includes a matching lace-trimmed bonnet with a ribbon tie. The reverse of the neck is clearly incised with the marks AM Germany 341 / 4/0. Height: 15 inches. This doll shows expected characteristics associated with its age. The bisque head is in good condition with no visible cracks or repairs. The composition hands and cloth body exhibit typical wear, including surface crazing and minor losses to the fingertips. The cloth legs require a simple repair for reattachment at the hip. The antique clothing shows minor age-related yellowing and light wear.
