Gebrüder Seyfarth bisque socket head doll marked G & S 5. This antique German doll features a bisque head with a medium-brown wig styled in curls, blue glass sleep eyes with painted lashes, and an open mouth revealing four porcelain teeth. The head is mounted on a fully jointed composition and wood body. Dressed in a pink satin-finish dress with cream-colored lace trim at the collar and cuffs. Undergarments include a white cotton chemise and matching bloomers with lace edging. The ensemble is completed with white knit stockings and tan leather-style buckle shoes. The back of the head is incised with the maker mark G & S over the word Germany. Height: 23 inches. The bisque head is in good condition with no visible cracks or repairs. The glass sleep eyes are functional. The composition body shows expected age-related crazing and minor finish wear consistent with age.
