Armand Marseille 3200 Bisque Head Doll

An antique Armand Marseille 3200 mold bisque socket head doll. The doll features a jointed and gusseted kid leather body with composition lower arms and legs. The reverse of the neck is incised with the maker mark 3200 / A 2 1/2 M. It is fitted with brown glass sleep eyes, multi-stroke feathered eyebrows, painted eyelashes, and a light brown wavy wig with a cream satin ribbon. A partially preserved red scalloped paper seal is present on the chest. The doll is dressed in a multi-colored plaid cotton dress with a cinched waist and ruffles, alongside a white cotton chemise, lace-trimmed bloomers, and white lace stockings. Height: 17 inches. This antique doll presents with expected light surface wear and aging consistent with its period. The bisque head is in good condition without visible cracks or hairlines. The kid leather body shows characteristic soiling and some reinforced stitching.
