This Armand Marseille German doll features the popular 390 mold. The socket head is incised Armand Marseille 390 n. D.R.G.M. 246/1 A. 4. M. to the reverse. The head is constructed of bisque with gray glass sleep eyes featuring mohair upper lashes and painted lower lashes, feathered eyebrows, and an open mouth with four inset upper teeth. The head is fitted with a brown mohair wig. The doll is mounted on a fully jointed composition & wood body. The doll is dressed in a two-piece ensemble including a green & white checkered cotton dress with a Peter Pan collar and a cream-colored lace-trimmed slip. Accessories include red knit socks and vintage red leather lace-up boots with red ribbon ties. Height: 21inches. The head is in good condition with functional sleep eyes. The body shows expected age-related wear with typical surface crazing and finish peeling. Clothing and wig exhibit expected signs of age and handling.
