Antique Colonial Revival Corner / Roundabout Chair with Green Vinyl Upholstery Distinctive antique corner chair, also known as a roundabout chair, in the Colonial Revival style, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The chair features a rich mahogany-toned wood frame with a gracefully curved wraparound back and arm rail, turned supports and legs, and a pair of decorative pierced vase-form back splats. The generously proportioned seat is upholstered in dark forest green vinyl with button detailing, complemented by a matching green vinyl padded section along the upper back rail. The shaped apron and unusual four-leg corner-chair configuration give the piece an especially handsome architectural appearance. The underside reveals traditional wood framing and older construction consistent with the chair's age. The green vinyl upholstery appears to be a later addition or replacement. Wood surfaces exhibit scattered scratches, finish wear and other signs of age and use. Please review photographs carefully for condition and details.
