Offered is a 2000-S Kennedy Half Dollar Silver Proof, struck at the San Francisco Mint. This collectible Proof issue features a sharp, polished finish and is composed of 90% silver. Please review the photos for the exact surfaces, cameo contrast, and overall condition. The Kennedy Half Dollar was introduced in 1964 following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The obverse was designed by Gilroy Roberts, while the reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro. The 2000-S Silver Proof had a mintage of 965,421 coins. It was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 12.5 grams, and contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The “S” mint mark identifies it as a San Francisco Proof issue.
