Offered is a 2001-S Kennedy Half Dollar Silver Proof, struck at the San Francisco Mint. This collectible Proof issue features a sharp, polished finish and is composed of 90% silver. The obverse was designed by Gilroy Roberts, while the reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro. The 2001-S Silver Proof had a mintage of approximately 889,697 coins. It was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 12.5 grams, and contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The “S” mint mark identifies it as a San Francisco Proof issue.
