1924-D Lincoln Cent, struck at the Denver Mint. This is a scarce early Lincoln Wheat Cent and a desirable issue for collectors building a complete date-and-mint collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, color, luster, surfaces, and overall appearance. The 1924-D had a mintage of only 2,520,000 coins, making it one of the lower-mintage Lincoln Cents of the 1920s. The issue is particularly scarce in higher grades, as relatively few examples were preserved in Mint State. The Lincoln Cent was introduced in 1909 and features Victor David Brenner’s portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the classic wheat-ear reverse. The 1924-D was struck in 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, weighs approximately 3.11 grams, measures about 19 mm in diameter, and has a plain edge. The “D” mint mark appears below the date on the obverse.
