1915 D Lincoln Cent

1915-D Lincoln Cent, struck at the Denver Mint. This early Lincoln Wheat Cent is a desirable issue and an important date for collectors building a complete Lincoln Cent date-and-mint collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, color, luster, surfaces, and overall appearance. The Lincoln Cent was introduced in 1909 and features Victor David Brenner’s portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the classic wheat-ear reverse. The 1915-D is considerably scarcer than the Philadelphia issue and is one of the lower-mintage Lincoln cents of the era. The 1915-D had a mintage of only 22,050,000 coins. It was struck in 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, weighs approximately 3.11 grams, and measures about 19 mm in diameter. The “D” mint mark appears below the date on the obverse.
