1913 S Lincoln Cent

1913-S Lincoln Cent, struck at the San Francisco Mint. This early Lincoln Wheat Cent is a desirable issue for collectors building a complete date-and-mint collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, color, luster, surfaces, and overall appearance. The Lincoln Cent was introduced in 1909 and features Victor David Brenner’s portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the classic wheat-ear reverse. The 1913-S is notably scarcer than the Philadelphia issue and is an important early San Francisco Lincoln Cent. The 1913-S had a mintage of 6,101,000 coins. It was struck in 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, weighs approximately 3.11 grams, and measures about 19 mm in diameter. The “S” mint mark appears below the date on the obverse.
