1967 U.S. Silver Special Mint Set, featuring specially struck U.S. coins from the final year of the Special Mint Set program. The set includes a Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, and Roosevelt Dime, with the Kennedy Half Dollar struck in 40% silver. Please review the photos for the exact coins, packaging, and overall condition. The U.S. Mint produced Special Mint Sets from 1965 through 1967 instead of traditional Proof Sets. These sets were created during a period of coin shortages and the transition away from circulating silver coinage. The 1967 Kennedy Half Dollar contains 40% silver and 60% copper, weighs 11.50 grams, and contains approximately 0.2959 troy ounces of pure silver. The Washington Quarter and Roosevelt Dime in the set are clad rather than silver.
