1982-D Washington Commemorative Half Dollar in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, struck at the Denver Mint. This commemorative half dollar honors George Washington and was issued as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Washington’s birth. The 1982 Washington Half Dollar was the first modern U.S. commemorative coin issued following the Mint’s revival of the commemorative coin program. The obverse features a portrait of George Washington, while the reverse depicts the Washington family coat of arms. The 1982-D issue was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 12.5 grams, and contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The Denver Mint struck 2,210,458 of the uncirculated half dollars. The “D” mint mark identifies the Denver issue.
