1909 Lincoln Cent in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This is the first year of the Lincoln Cent series and one of the most historically significant dates in the series. Please review the photos for the exact luster, color, surfaces, and overall condition. The Lincoln Cent was introduced in 1909 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. The obverse features Lincoln’s portrait by Victor David Brenner, while the original 1909 reverse featured two wheat ears surrounding the denomination and inscriptions, giving these coins their popular “Wheat Cent” nickname.
