This is an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after Art Nouveau table lamp by Tiffany Studios, New York, featuring the iconic "Fish" (often referred to as Koi or Carp) leaded glass shade. The conical shade is masterfully crafted with a continuous aquatic motif, depicting multiple fish swimming amidst swirling currents and dense underwater vegetation. The glass selection features vibrant, mottled orange and yellow-gold tones for the fish, set against a rich, multi-layered background of watery blues, aquamarines, and rippled sea-green glass that captures the fluid movement of an aquarium. The shade rests on an authentic patinated bronze 4-leg root base, featuring four organic, sculptural legs designed to resemble natural tree roots spreading out to support the rising stem. The bronze retains its original, rich greenish-brown verdigris patina with minor surface wear and oxidation consistent with an early 20th-century piece. In terms of condition, the shade exhibits two visible cracked glass panels, which is common for authentic leaded lamps of this age, but is otherwise stable and in good working condition. The shade features an authentic, crisp factory stamp reading "TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK" along the lower inner metal rim. The base is properly signed and marked, stamped "TIFFANY STUDIOS" under one toe and bearing the model number "396" under another toe. Measures 24" tall and shade is 7"H x 17"W.
