Loetz Art Nouveau iridescent art glass vase, circa 1900, presenting a tall square-section body with dramatically folded and undulating rim, the glass richly decorated in an amber-gold ground with dense green pulled and webbed iridescent threading that flashes pink, violet, and metallic tones under changing light. The vessel is housed within an elaborate dark-patinated Jugendstil metal mount raised on four slender splayed feet, with bold geometric openwork standards rising toward the rim and applied floral and berry ornament joined by festoon-like botanical swags. The marriage of intensely textured Loetz glass with the architectural Secessionist-style mount gives the piece a particularly sculptural presence characteristic of high-style Continental decorative arts around 1900. Comparable authenticated Loetz vessels in period metal mounts continue to appear at established auction houses, including closely related Jugendstil-mounted examples with Phaenomen-type decoration. Condition appears generally good from the photographs, with expected age-related patination, oxidation, and minor surface wear to the mount and light surface wear to the glass; no obvious major crack or substantial loss is visible. Measures 10"H x 3.5"W.
