Important early 20th-century Tiffany Studios table lamp featuring a domed leaded-glass shade in a richly decorative peacock-feather pattern, with repeated cobalt-blue feather “eyes” framed by creamy yellow, pale green, and amber-toned glass segments set within an intricate network of lead cames. The organic patterning and jewel-like palette create a strong Art Nouveau effect, while the substantial patinated bronze base is designed in an architectural urn form with elongated supports, scrolling feet, and a shaped plinth. The lamp bears an old THDC Co. monogram and “D”, with “888 TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK” marked beneath the monogram on the underside of the middle section, and an additional “28” marking on the very bottom. The combination of Tiffany Studios New York marking and period construction materially strengthens the attribution, though the relationship of the THDC Co. monogram to the original manufacture or later ownership should be regarded as an additional historical marking rather than a maker attribution without further documentation. The shade appears generally well preserved from the supplied photographs, while the metal surfaces retain extensive age-appropriate patination and oxidation with scattered wear; the electrical cord requires replacement/repair and the lamp is untested, with electrical functionality not guaranteed.Measures 22.5"H overall and shade is 7.5"H x 16" in diameter.
