L.C. Tiffany Favrile art glass footed bowl, early 20th century, formed in rich golden amber glass with a luminous iridescent surface displaying shifting flashes of yellow-gold, green, violet, blue, and rose as the light moves across the piece. The broad shallow bowl rises from a low circular pedestal foot and is finished with a deeply undulating, freeform ruffled rim characteristic of Tiffany’s organic Art Nouveau glass designs. The interior possesses a particularly strong metallic lustre, while the softly stretched exterior retains warm amber coloration beneath the iridescence. The underside is marked “LCT,” identifying the work with Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Favrile production. Comparable signed Tiffany Favrile ruffled bowls continue to appear regularly at auction, with value influenced considerably by size, strength of iridescence, form, and condition. The bowl presents attractively with expected light age-related surface wear and minor scratches consistent with use; no major cracks or significant losses are apparent in the photographs. Measures 2"H x 6.25" in diameter.
