Vintage Boho-Chic Rattan and Console Table

A large mid-century console table constructed with a sturdy rattan frame, beautifully accented by split-bamboo and woven cane paneling. The design epitomizes the vintage Bohemian or "Brighton Pavilion" style, making it a highly sought-after piece for coastal, tropical, or eclectic interior designs. The expansive tabletop features an elaborate decorative border of U-shaped, split-bamboo arches layered over a tightly woven cane background, framing a rustic, slatted bamboo center. The geometric, trestle-style legs are constructed from bundled bamboo, providing excellent structural stability while maintaining an organic, airy aesthetic.In terms of condition, the piece shows significant age-related wear and is an ideal candidate for restoration. The decorative border on the tabletop has sustained notable damage, with several of the split-bamboo horseshoe arches cracked, chipped, or missing sections entirely. Additionally, the woven cane backing underneath these arches is heavily frayed and torn in multiple spots, exposing the raw wood beneath. The natural finish across the entire table exhibits scuffs, localized finish loss, and accumulated dust and grime in the crevices of the bamboo slats. The underside reveals basic metal L-brackets securing the wooden support beams to the bamboo frame; while completely functional for structural stability, this rustic reinforcement suggests practical utilitarian construction or a previous stability repair.
