A charming antique mahogany upholstered footstool, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, featuring a gently bowed rectangular cushion upholstered in warm rust-colored velvet and bordered with coordinating decorative braid. The low-profile frame is distinguished by boldly curved mahogany side supports that sweep downward to short rounded feet, creating an elegant arched silhouette often associated with Victorian and Edwardian fireside or gout-style footstools. The rich reddish-brown mahogany finish provides an attractive contrast to the soft terracotta upholstery, while the compact proportions make the piece equally suitable as a fireside footrest, dressing stool, or decorative accent.
