Pair of Venetian Style & Pink Tufted Side Chairs

Updated August 18, 2026

A glamorous pair of vintage Venetian and Hollywood Regency style side chairs, each featuring a tall gently flared upholstered back and deeply button-tufted seat covered in vivid fuchsia-pink crushed velvet, framed by narrow sections of antiqued mirrored glass that create a dramatic jewel-like border around the back and seat rails. The chairs are raised on slender tapered legs inset with additional mirrored panels and terminate in petite feet, giving the pair an elegant, elongated profile with strong old-Hollywood decorative appeal. The combination of saturated velvet, reflective mirrored surfaces, and sculptural proportions makes these especially striking accent, dressing, or occasional chairs. A closely corresponding pair described specifically as “Vintage Venetian Style Mirrored and Tufted Velvet Side Chairs” has appeared in recent auction records, supporting the identification of this decorative type. Condition is fair to good and highly decorative, with the velvet retaining strong color and plushness while showing scattered wear, compression, minor spotting, and surface variation; the mirrored borders and legs exhibit substantial age-related silvering loss, oxidation, dark spotting, scratches, clouding, edge wear, and scattered losses to the reflective finish, with additional rubbing and wear to exposed frame surfaces. Despite the distressed mirror surfaces, the pair retains considerable visual impact and an appealing authentically aged appearance. Measures 37.5"H x 26"W x 17"D and seat height is 21"H
