Vintage Ornate Cast Iron Vanity Bench w/ Twisted

A decorative vintage cast iron upholstered vanity bench or dressing stool featuring a generously padded rectangular seat with softly rounded corners, covered in a textured woven fabric in muted cream, gold, tan, and gray tones. The bench is supported by an especially attractive dark-finished cast iron frame with pierced openwork end standards incorporating scrolling and repeating quatrefoil-like motifs within gently bowed outlines, terminating in small shaped feet. A long twisted iron stretcher joins the two end supports and provides both structural stability and a strong decorative accent, while the pierced metalwork gives the piece a refined Victorian Revival or Gothic-inspired character suitable for use as a vanity stool, bedroom bench, fireside seat, or decorative accent. No maker’s mark is visible in the photographs, and the piece is therefore cataloged without a specific manufacturer attribution. Condition is good overall with age-appropriate wear to the iron frame, including scattered surface oxidation, rubbing, finish loss, and patination; the upholstered seat remains intact and padded, showing general use wear, light discoloration, and scattered staining or soiling consistent with age.
