This wall sconce is a classic example of early 20th-century Arts & Crafts metalwork. The fixture features a sturdy, architectural frame crafted from copper that has developed a natural, verdigris-heavy oxidized patina over time. It is fitted with panels of translucent, iridescent art glass, which exhibit a beautiful, pearlescent sheen that would cast a soft, diffused glow when illuminated. The design is utilitarian yet elegant, emphasizing the honest beauty of the materials—raw metal and artistic glass—characteristic of the movement's aesthetic philosophy.. The copper housing displays significant, authentic oxidation and verdigris, consistent with age, outdoor exposure, or long-term storage in a humid environment. The iridescent glass panels appear to be intact, though they require cleaning to fully restore their luster. Please note that the fixture is currently without a plug or finished wiring, as the internal wires are exposed, indicating that it will require professional rewiring for safe, modern electrical use. Measures 8.75"H x 7"W x 7"D.
