A striking 19th century cane featuring a finely carved bone lion head handle, the expressive face detailed with incised mane, defined eyes, nostrils, and open mouth showing teeth, mounted above a spiral-carved bone collar that transitions into a rich brown wooden shaft. The carving displays good depth and character consistent with Victorian-era craftsmanship, and the contrast between the warm-toned wood and the aged bone creates strong visual appeal. The bone handle has been repaired and shows visible restoration along a horizontal seam, along with several age-related hairline cracks and natural patina throughout; the shaft shows surface scratches, finish wear, and expected signs of handling consistent with age and use. Also, missing ferrule, cap on bottom. Overall, a decorative and collectible antique cane with classic figural styling and honest period wear. Measures 30" Tall.
