An elegant mahogany foyer or console table in the style of Hickory Chair, distinguished by its refined proportions, richly figured veneered top, and architectural open base. The upper case is fitted with two long drawers, each framed by molded edges and mounted with pierced brass Chippendale-style bail pulls, while the projecting apron is embellished with a continuous geometric fretwork band of interlaced diamond and oval motifs. Matching pierced decoration extends down the square front legs, which are joined to the rear supports by a dramatic openwork X-form stretcher with elongated rounded cutouts, adding visual lightness and a strong decorative profile. Gracefully shaped corner brackets soften the transition between apron and legs, and the warm mahogany finish highlights the grain throughout. The table shows some scuffs, scratches, small nicks, and areas of rubbing to the finish consistent with age and use. Measures 32.25" H x 42" W x 16" D.
