A decorative pair of covered porcelain ginger jars, each with a rounded baluster-form body and fitted circular lid. The pale celadon-toned grounds are richly embellished with flowering branches, butterflies, stylized rockwork, and long leafy plants rendered in rust, white, brown, gray, and raised gilt enamels. Coordinating iron-red borders with scrolling designs encircle the lids and bases, while additional floral and butterfly decoration appears across the lid tops. The pair displays slight variations in the hand-applied decoration, adding individual character while maintaining a cohesive appearance. Both jars exhibit scattered surface scuffs and minor wear consistent with age and handling; no chips or cracks were observed. Measures 9" H x 8.75" Diameter each.
