CONFETTI END of DAY Signed BLOWN ART GLASS PITCHER

AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Signed hand blown studio art glass pitcher standing 6-1/2" tall and measuring approximately 5" in diameter across the body, further extended by the applied clear glass handle. The rounded body is intentionally irregular and gently canted from the hand blowing process, while the dramatically flared mouth is pulled into an asymmetrical pouring form. The clear glass body is densely filled with multicolored fragments in coral red, rose pink, amber, gold, green, turquoise blue, cobalt, violet and white. Across the lower body, the colored inclusions create a rich confetti, mosaic and spatter effect. Through the shoulder and neck, the decoration becomes increasingly stretched and manipulated into broad pulled ribbons and feathered swirls that continue around the folded rim. This decorative treatment is commonly described as end of day glass, confetti glass, spatter glass, mosaic glass or Venetian inspired studio glass. The term end of day traditionally refers to objects made with assorted remnants of colored glass remaining around a workshop, although later studio artists also used the effect deliberately as an established decorative technique. A substantial clear handle was separately formed and hot applied to the body, with visible attachment pads at the upper shoulder and lower side. The underside retains a pronounced pontil mark from the blowing process and a freehand etched artist signature that appears to read A. Cameron, although several letters remain indistinct and cannot be deciphered with certainty. The individually formed body, canted profile, applied handle, folded mouth, manipulated color and visible pontil establish the pitcher as hand blown studio art glass rather than factory molded production. The maker and place of production have not been conclusively identified.
