AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Set of five vintage Siesta Ware No. 5 amber glass barrel mugs, each standing 5" tall, measuring 2-1/2" in diameter across the glass body and extending 4-1/2" overall including the natural wood handle. Each example is molded Siesta Ware ~ 5 beneath the base. The heavy amber glass bodies are formed in the manner of small coopered barrels, with rounded upper and lower rims and brass tone metal bands encircling the glass. Substantial natural wood handles are secured through metal brackets and visible fasteners, creating the rustic tavern, lodge, Western and Mid Century barware appearance associated with Siesta Ware. The mugs were produced for beer, ale and other cold beverages and may also be described as barrel mugs, beer steins, tavern mugs, pub mugs or rustic cabin barware. CONDITION REPORT > The amber glass bodies remain intact. The wooden handles exhibit age related cracks but remain stable and securely attached. The brass tone bands display tarnish, finish wear and scattered surface marks. As discovered, not cleaned or altered.
