AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Carucci enameled egg-form trinket box, approximately the size of a natural hen’s egg, presented on a separate gold-tone tripod stand. The hinged metal body opens vertically along one side and closes with concealed magnets fitted inside the upper edges. The exterior is finished in marbled slate-blue enamel arranged within repeating diamond-shaped panels divided by raised twisted gold-tone latticework. Clear rhinestones are set at selected lattice intersections, adding points of reflected light across the surface. The gold-tone interior has a lightly textured finish, with one half stamped CARUCCI in script within an oval and the opposite half bearing a circular C mark. The separate gilt stand is cast with three arched supports terminating in rounded scroll feet, holding the egg upright for display. Carucci appears to have been an Italian decorative giftware and fashion-accessory firm associated with jeweled enamel trinket boxes, miniature eggs and Fabergé inspired decorative objects. The piece follows the jeweled presentation-egg tradition, adapted as a small keepsake, ring or trinket box for a vanity, dresser or display cabinet.
