AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A Wentworth Wooden Puzzles Spring Flowers and Poole Pottery premium 500 piece laser cut wooden jigsaw, product number 780904, reproducing the richly detailed floral still life by British artist Albert Williams. When assembled, the puzzle measures approximately 510 x 360 mm, or 20" x 14.25". The image presents a lavish arrangement of daffodils, primroses, bluebells and other spring blooms overflowing from a decorated Poole Pottery vessel. Brilliant yellow, coral, pink, violet and green tones create a traditional English garden composition with strong Cottagecore, Grandmillennial and English Country appeal. Albert Williams, 1922 to 2010, became known for highly detailed floral paintings influenced by 17th century Dutch flower still lifes. He studied at Brighton College of Art and developed compositions from individual flower studies, combining carefully observed blossoms into abundant arrangements. Wentworth produces precision laser cut wooden puzzles incorporating specially shaped whimsy pieces, recognizable silhouettes related to the subject of the image. The tradition developed from Victorian puzzle cutters, who occasionally added figurative pieces “on a whim,” while modern Wentworth examples use intricate cuts, unusual piece shapes and limited reliance on conventional corner and edge pieces to increase the challenge. The sturdy presentation box retains the full color artwork, title, artist attribution, Bridgeman Images copyright, piece count and original product information. An appealing premium puzzle for collectors of Wentworth wooden jigsaws, floral art, Poole Pottery imagery and challenging traditional games.
